Dr.Michael Krosin, MD

Dr Krosin received his BA in philosophy from Princeton University in 1997. Afterwards, he spent several years working and traveling upon realizing medicine and individual patient care was his calling. He graduated Medical School from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City in 2004. In recognizing his passion to help restore mobility and function, he chose Orthopedic Surgery as a Specialty. He completed residency at the San Francisco Orthopedic Residency in 2009 followed by his Trauma Fellowship in 2010 at the prestigious high-volume Ortho Indy Trauma Fellowship in Indianapolis.
Dr Krosin’s early career was spent serving the East Bay community at Highland Hospital/Alameda Health Systems. In his roll as Director of Trauma and Chief of Orthopedics for over a decade, he developed a program of state-of-the-art trauma care and joint replacement.
Though he continues to teach and treat complex cases at Highland, he opened his Castro Valley practice in 2020 to become Director of Trauma and eventually Chief of Orthopedics at Eden Medical Center.
Dr Krosin strongly believes in an individualized modern approach for each patient. Dr Krosin’s goal is to create a plan to help you achieve your highest potential in function and activity. In addition to his local practice, Dr. Krosin is involved nationally in teaching and trauma care and is very active with international volunteer work, leading trips annually to provide traumatic and joint reconstruction for the underserved and developing trauma systems abroad.
Dr Krosin is an avid traveller, reader, pod-cast listener, hiker, concert goer, amateur photographer, and fitness buff….however most weekends he and his wife can be found on the sidelines cheering on their daughters or throwing a ball with his two dogs.
